DPM Metals Reports Expanded High-Grade Results at Brevene Porphyry South Discovery in Bulgaria

DPM Metals Inc. (TSX: DPM, ASX: DPM) has released new drilling results from its Brevene Porphyry South gold-copper discovery in Bulgaria, reporting extended high-grade intercepts that the company says confirm the mineralized system reaches onto the neighbouring Chelopech mine concession.

The Toronto-based miner said additional drilling and assaying on a previously reported hole, EX_BRES_555_02A, extended the mineralized intercept to 716.60 metres grading 3.30 g/t gold equivalent, which included a higher-grade section of 138.60 metres grading 5.71 g/t gold equivalent. Another hole, EX_BRESPO_03, was extended to a 1,054-metre intercept grading 2.49 g/t gold equivalent, including a 465-metre section grading 3.02 g/t gold equivalent. Several other holes at the site, some still in progress, returned intercepts ranging from 98 metres to 707 metres with varying gold, copper and molybdenum grades.

Drilling Confirms Larger Alteration Zone

According to the company, drilling has outlined a potassic alteration envelope — a geological feature associated with this style of mineralization — measuring more than 500 metres by 500 metres and extending over 1,000 metres in vertical depth. DPM said the system remains open in multiple directions, including to the north, south, west and at depth, where it is interpreted to plunge to the southwest, with mineralization extending onto the central-to-northwestern boundary of the Chelopech mine concession.

David Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer of DPM Metals, said the exploration team has delivered drill intercepts exceeding 710 metres with high copper-gold grades over a three-month period, and that the results confirm the porphyry system extends onto the Chelopech concession. Rae said multiple holes are advancing through visible mineralization, pointing to further extension potential.

Expanded Drilling and Permitting Plans

DPM said up to 15,000 metres of additional drilling is planned from the Chelopech mine concession through the end of 2026, with continued delineation drilling to follow through 2027. The company currently has seven surface rigs and two underground rigs, with up to eight rigs in total dedicated to the Brevene Porphyry South target, according to Rae.

Alongside the drilling program, DPM said it is pursuing permitting steps to convert its Brevene exploration licence into a mining concession under Bulgaria’s existing permitting framework.

The company also pointed to preliminary metallurgical testwork indicating that the Brevene Porphyry South mineralization responds to conventional rougher-cleaner flotation processing, with open-cycle testing producing copper-gold concentrates at grades between 10% and 25% copper and 12 g/t to 20 g/t gold.

Location Near Existing Mining District

DPM noted that the Brevene Porphyry South target sits within an established mining district where the company has operated for more than two decades, giving it existing infrastructure and community relationships in the area. The company described this positioning as reducing risks associated with future development and said it views the discovery as a potential large-scale growth opportunity for the Chelopech camp.
