It depends on where you work: from 6 in Nova Scotia and in Newfoundland and Labrador to 11 in British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Federally regulated workplaces get 10 under the Canada Labour Code.

Which holidays are statutory everywhere in Canada?

New Year's Day, Good Friday (in Quebec, Good Friday or Easter Monday at the employer's choice), Canada Day (called Memorial Day in Newfoundland and Labrador), Labour Day and Christmas Day.

Is Boxing Day a stat holiday in Canada?

Only in Ontario and for federally regulated workplaces. In Alberta it is an optional general holiday; elsewhere it is not statutory, even though many businesses close.

Is the Civic Holiday in August a stat holiday?

It is statutory under local names in British Columbia (B.C. Day), Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan Day), New Brunswick (New Brunswick Day), the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. In Alberta it is an optional general holiday (Heritage Day). In Ontario, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and the other provinces it is not a statutory holiday.

Is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation a stat holiday?

It is statutory for federally regulated workplaces and in British Columbia, Manitoba (Orange Shirt Day), Prince Edward Island, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. In Alberta it is optional; in the other provinces it is not a statutory holiday.
