Atlas Salt Inc. (TSXV: SALT) says its Great Atlantic Salt Project has been included in the official prospectus for the Canada Investment Summit, a national investment forum held in Toronto on September 14 and 15, 2026. The company also confirmed its attendance at the Summit’s Welcome Reception on September 13, held at the invitation of the Government of Canada, PSP Investments and CPP Investments.
The Summit was described as a first-of-its-kind gathering hosted by the Prime Minister of Canada in partnership with CPP Investments and PSP Investments, bringing together global investors, Canadian executives, institutional capital providers and public sector leaders. According to Atlas Salt, the event was aimed at mobilizing long-term capital, advancing strategic projects, strengthening supply chains and supporting economic growth across the country.
The company said its inclusion in the Summit Prospectus placed the Great Atlantic Salt Project alongside a select group of strategic Canadian investment opportunities presented to international investors. Attendance at the Welcome Reception, it added, gave the company a chance to engage directly with senior government officials, institutional investors and global capital partners.
Financing Push Continues
Atlas Salt said the added visibility from the Summit comes as it continues to pursue project financing, following the earlier announcement of more than C$300 million in non-binding financing interest. The company framed its participation in the Summit as reinforcing engagement with prospective capital providers and funding partners as it works toward a full construction financing package.
Nolan Peterson, CEO of Atlas Salt, said the company was honoured that the project was recognized through the Summit and thanked the federal government for what he described as its commitment to championing investment and nation-building projects to a global audience. Peterson also thanked the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for nominating the project for the Summit Prospectus and for advocating on its behalf during the event.
Peterson said the Summit highlighted an opportunity for both international and Canadian sources of long-term capital to participate in strategic project development, noting that domestic engagement can serve as a signal that helps attract broader global investment. He said the recognition reflects the growing importance of the project and the work of the company’s team, stakeholders and partners.

About the Great Atlantic Salt Project
The Great Atlantic Salt Project is a wholly owned, high-purity rock salt development located on the west coast of Newfoundland. Atlas Salt says the project is positioned to become North America’s first new salt mine in nearly three decades and is expected to produce 4.0 million tonnes of road salt annually, serving import-dependent markets in Eastern Canada and the U.S. Northeast.
According to the company’s 2025 Updated Feasibility Study, the project has an estimated 25-year mine life, with average annual after-tax free cash flow of C$188 million, an after-tax net present value of C$920 million at an 8% discount rate, a post-tax internal rate of return of 21.3%, and a payback period of 4.2 years. Atlas Salt describes the operation as highly electrified and low-emission, with anticipated annual Scope 1 emissions equal to those of four Newfoundland households.
Atlas Salt said it believes its participation in the Canada Investment Summit strengthened the company’s visibility among financial and strategic stakeholders that could play a role in the project’s next phase of growth.
