Jayman Living has broken ground on The Nostalgia Club at Nostalgia Townlet in southeast Calgary, a private social and athletic club spanning more than 400,000 square feet that is scheduled to open in fall 2029.
The club is being built within Nostalgia Townlet’s 500-acre site overlooking the Bow River. According to Jayman Living, the facility is designed to bring multiple generations together through recreation, athletics, aquatics, wellness, dining and business amenities, with membership described as exclusive.
Jay Westman, Chairman and CEO of Jayman BUILT, said the project grew out of his own family’s experience with club membership and was intended to create a place where generations can belong together. He said the club will emphasize service, integrity and community.
The project is being built in partnership with CANA, a construction firm that has worked on landmark projects across Alberta for more than 80 years. John Simpson, Chairman of CANA, said the company is bringing its experience in building sports, recreation and community spaces to the development.
Planned Amenities
The club’s planned family-oriented amenities include a 3,000-square-foot gymnastics centre, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a 35-foot climbing wall, a games room, a bowling centre, six golf and gaming simulator bays, and an NHL-sized ice rink for skating and hockey programs. Childminding services and a supervised youth centre are also planned.
Athletic facilities will include indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, indoor padel and badminton courts, and a 25,000-square-foot fitness space with a 380-metre indoor running track. Aquatics offerings will feature a 25-metre, four-lane competition pool alongside a lifestyle pool with waterslides, water play areas and a lazy river.

Well-being amenities will include a rooftop member spa with a sauna, steam therapy, cold plunge, outdoor pools and hot tubs, plus a wellness centre offering physiotherapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture. Business-focused spaces will include a ballroom, banquet services, private dining rooms, business lounges and boardrooms.
Dining and Membership
The club plans five dining venues: Café Au Lait for casual daytime meals, Saint Monday’s sports lounge overlooking the ice rink, Evermore rooftop fine dining, Clementine’s for wine and cocktails, and Winston’s, a private speakeasy-style lounge.
Jayman Living said “Legacy Memberships” are now available, with details on membership available through the club’s website. Jayman BUILT, which has operated for more than 45 years and describes itself as one of Alberta’s largest homebuilders, has participated in community developments in Calgary, Edmonton, Leduc, St. Albert and Sherwood Park, and says it has welcomed more than 32,000 new homeowners throughout its history.
