Costco Canada has issued a recall for Kevin’s Turkey Gravy after discovering the product contains undeclared mustard, posing a risk to customers with allergies or sensitivities to the ingredient.
The recall notice, shared by Costco on Tuesday, applies to Kevin’s Turkey Gravy (Costco Item #1766699), sold in 1.33-litre boxes at Costco warehouses in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba between September 2026 and October 2026. The product is made by California-based Kevin’s Natural Foods.
What the Recall Covers
Affected products can be identified by their best-before dates and lot codes. These include a best-before date of 2026 DE 07 with lot code 26261 24985Z, a best-before date of 2026 DE 12 with lot code 26266 25248, and a best-before date of 2026 DE 12 with lot code 26273 25717.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has also issued its own notice confirming the recall and classifying it as a Class I recall, the agency’s highest risk category. According to the CFIA, this classification means there is a high risk that consuming the food could lead to serious health problems or death.

Refunds and Next Steps
Costco’s notice warns that consuming the product could trigger a serious or life-threatening reaction for those allergic or sensitive to mustard. Customers who purchased the affected gravy are advised not to consume it and can return it to any Costco warehouse for a full refund.
Kevin’s Natural Foods has also apologized for the inconvenience and asked customers to pass the recall notice along to anyone who may have received the product as a gift. Customers seeking more information can contact the company directly or visit its website.
The CFIA noted that it is continuing a food safety investigation related to the matter, which it said could lead to further recalls of additional products.
