Qualico Opens Vantage Rise Show Homes in Airdrie as Part of 75th Anniversary Push

Qualico Communities has marked the grand opening of Vantage Rise, a new master-planned community in southwest Airdrie, unveiling 10 show homes built by multiple home builders as part of the developer’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

The 160-acre community, located at the corner of Yankee Valley Boulevard and 24th Street, welcomed its first residents earlier this year. The grand opening event at the end of September introduced the show homes to the public, showcasing a mix of housing styles from several builders operating within the development.

Vantage Rise is Qualico’s second master-planned residential community in Airdrie, following its previous development, Ravenswood, which has since sold out. According to Rishika Dave, a communications specialist with Qualico Communities, the project reflects the company’s long-standing approach to community planning.

Housing Options and Builders

The community offers a range of housing types and price points across several builders. Front-drive garage homes are being built by Shane Homes, NuVista Homes, McKee Homes and Sterling Homes starting in the low $700,000s. Laned homes are available from Trico Homes and Broadview Homes starting in the mid-$500,000s, while townhomes from StreetSide Developments and Trico Homes start in the high $400,000s. Dave said additional multifamily housing options are planned for future phases of the development.

Once fully built out across four phases, Vantage Rise is expected to include about 1,200 homes and house more than 3,000 residents. The development’s location is positioned to offer views of nearby foothills and prairie land, along with access to existing schools, shopping and recreational amenities in Airdrie.

Commercial and Green Space Plans

Among the planned features is Vantage Commons, a 12.25-acre commercial hub designed with a pedestrian-oriented main street, a public plaza, shops and services, along with connections to a storm pond and pathway network. The community will also include Vantage Green, a 15-acre green space containing a central park, playground, picnic areas and sports courts.

Dave noted that the community’s location provides connectivity within Airdrie and access to Calgary, with planned transportation improvements expected to further ease travel between the two cities in the future. She added that residents will also have proximity to retail and entertainment destinations such as CrossIron Mills and Costco.

Vantage Rise is part of a broader slate of community launches Qualico has rolled out across Alberta this year to mark its 75th anniversary, following the groundbreaking of the Stonegate community in northeast Calgary and the Bellwether community in east Calgary.
