Denny’s Canada has opened a new diner at Southland Mall in Regina, marking the company’s second location in the city and fifth in Saskatchewan as the restaurant chain continues to expand across the province and Central Canada.
The new diner, located at 2665 Gordon Road, is owned and operated by co-partner franchisees Khushdil (Lucky) Mehrok and Davinder Chandni. It is the first Denny’s location opened by the pair, who join a network of franchisees already running Denny’s diners across Saskatchewan.
Denny’s Canada has had a presence in Regina for more than two decades, with the city’s first diner opening in 2004. Ron Cecillon, President and Chief Operating Officer of Denny’s Canada, Bar One and UK & Ireland Restaurant Group, said the company has been proud to serve Regina for more than 20 years and that the new diner reflects its continued commitment to growing alongside communities that have supported the brand.
Franchise Growth Strategy
John Yoingco, Franchise Business Development Manager at Denny’s Canada, said the company is continuing to invest in Saskatchewan and expand its presence across Central Canada as a Canadian-owned and operated business. He credited the growth to the dedication of franchise partners, including Mehrok and Chandni, who brought the Southland Mall location to life.

The Southland Mall diner follows the brand’s “Familiar. Made Fresh.” approach, offering menu staples such as the Original Grand Slam, the Lumberjack Slam and the Crispy Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. The location is open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night meals.
